The ideal candidate will have had a prior affiliation with pediatrics and at least two years of prior work history. Essential duties for the Speech Therapist would be to evaluate the level of speech or language difficulty of students, create and implement a plan of care, and be able to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel in developing the best course of action for each individual child. Other job responsibilities may entail: maintenance and accountability for school inventory and equipment, and attendance at school meetings when appropriate.
The ideal candidate will be a central member of a team of other professionals and paraprofessionals that will all play a role in the implementation and intervention procedures recommended treatment plan. This may also include assisting school personnel in their co! ordination efforts with students physicians.
