Pediatric Therapy Coordinator

To efficiently coordinate the scheduling of the therapy field staff and assist with clerical functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

• Ensures all weekly schedules are filled, maintained, accurate, and complete. Immediately notifies therapist or client of any changes in the weekly schedules.

• Makes necessary changes to schedule as needed, and notifies therapists and clients of changes immediately.
• Maintains accurate and current therapist lists, and patient census lists; updates lists as necessary to maintain accuracy.
• Maintains accurate list of therapist’s caseload and utilizes software to map territory.
• Maintains Therapy Supervision log and notifies Administrator with identified problems.
• Immediately notifies Supervising Nurse of any changes in patient condition as reported or as witnessed.

Participates in or assists with new employee orientation as! needed.

• Identify personnel needs based on referral trends.
• Contacts PRN and contract staff periodically to determine availability.

Participates in monthly therapy meetings and other meetings as requested.

• Prepares and submits accurate reports as requested.
• Assists to professionally respond to incoming calls regarding pediatric services.

• Monitors and tracks contract staffing use; ensure that contract staffing is used minimally.

• Assists with obtaining necessary documents for personnel record.

Provides clerical and other administrative assistance as requested.

Performs all other duties as requested by supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
NOTE: These requirements represent minimum levels in order to

perform the job on a satisfactory basis. Candidates must have th! e

ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job.

1.

Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge normally attained through high school education. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent plus one year minimum prior experience in customer service or clerical support position. Requires a minimum of six months prior experience in healthcare environment performing staffing and interviewing function, and selecting medical personnel. Applicable two year or four year college degree preferred.
