Our client, in the marine sector is seeking a competent and qualified professional to fill the position below

Job Title - Human Resources Executive

Location - Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain personnel records.
  • Develop and implement effective talent attraction, retention, and performance management systems and procedures.
  • Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
  • Effectively manage contractors and suppliers in an optimal manner.
  • Effectively manage business utilities and equipment in an optimal manner.
  • Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides.
  • Revise company policies.
  • Develop training and onboarding material.
  • Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates).
  • Answer employees queries about HR-related issues.
  • Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules).
  • Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years cognate experience in Human Resource Management Thorough knowledge of labor laws.
  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
  • Candidates must be a Quality Management Systems-QMS and compliance experts
  • Candidates must be CIPM accredited, and must be MLC certified with extensive knowledge in labor law.
  • Experience using HR and Payroll Software
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Experience:

  • in Human Resources: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CIPM or PHRI (Preferred)
