Our client, in the marine sector is seeking a competent and qualified professional to fill the position below
Job Title - Human Resources Executive
Location - Lagos.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain personnel records.
- Develop and implement effective talent attraction, retention, and performance management systems and procedures.
- Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
- Effectively manage contractors and suppliers in an optimal manner.
- Effectively manage business utilities and equipment in an optimal manner.
- Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides.
- Revise company policies.
- Develop training and onboarding material.
- Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance.
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates).
- Answer employees queries about HR-related issues.
- Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules).
- Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms
Requirements and skills
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years cognate experience in Human Resource Management Thorough knowledge of labor laws.
- Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role
- Candidates must be a Quality Management Systems-QMS and compliance experts
- Candidates must be CIPM accredited, and must be MLC certified with extensive knowledge in labor law.
- Experience using HR and Payroll Software
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage
