Job Summary:
The finance assistant will support the financial operations of the organisation by performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks. They will work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure that financial processes are accurate, efficient, and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile accounts to ensure that financial records are accurate and up-to-date
- Manage budgets by monitoring expenses and revenue
- Assist with audits by preparing financial records and reports, answering questions from auditors, and helping to resolve any issues that arise
- Analyse financial data, identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for improvements
- Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Good level of English (writing and speaking)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
