Qualifications: / Duties Accredited by The Joint Commission, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford provides a wide range of health care services and programs to fulfill the mission of improving the health of the people in the communities the hospital serves.

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an endoscopy or other invasive procedure. The nurse can expect to care for adult patients, including geriatric age.

Basis Qualifications/Requirements:

• Current RN license by the State of Texas
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• 2 years GI/Endoscopy experience with moderate sedation for procedure and or PICC experience
• Leadership qualities
• Service Excellence skills
• ACLS and BCLS

Minimum Requirements/Skills:

• Exceptional critical thinking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be highly motivated
• Work well with a team and have the ability to function in a fast paced environment.

The selected candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, providing safe and quality care. Working well with other team members to resolve patient concerns is essential. Additional responsibilities include, evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes. Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an endoscopy or other invasive procedure. The Registered Nurse is a resource person and provides guidance to non-licensed personnel. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including geriatric and pediatric patients from 1 year through adolescence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ICU, ED, Medical Surgical or Operating Room experience very helpful PICC placement for moderate sedation Endoscopy experience CGRN

Hours/Schedule:
Primary schedule: PRN "as needed", holiday’s and weekends, with shift flexibility Monday â€" Friday 6:00 4:30 Call schedule rotation for closed department hours

Department Overview:
Our 22 bed Endoscopy & Special Procedures Department is an open M-F 0600-1630. Closed weekends & Holidays, require on call for all closed hours. We serve an adult population for outpatients & inpatients requiring an Endoscopy GI & Pulmonary (including diagnostic & therapeutic procedures), ESWL, Pain Management procedure, TEE, PICC placement, & various other procedures needing sedation or assisting the physician. We are a team oriented unit focused on quality & customer satisfaction.
