In Presidio, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to provide prev! entative and primary medical care for patients in a community health setting. New hire will provide care to patients aged birth to young adulthood (21-24 years), specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments specific to young people. Staff Physician must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients.
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited medical school, completion of approved post-graduate training, and an unrestricted Texas Medical license required. Must have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions, as well as current Basic Life Support Certification for healthcare providers. Must be Board certified in Pediatric Medicine. Bilingual English-! Spanish candidates preferred. Proficiency or willingness to le! arn Electronic Health Records (EHR) required. New graduates applicants are welcome.
Interested candidates should be comfortable with living in a remote and sparsely populated location. The nearest hospital is in Alpine, 25 miles from Marfa and 85 miles from Presidio. The nearest Wal-Mart is 90 miles away. The area is very beautiful and the Marfa Plateau (elev. 5,000 ft.) has an outstanding high-desert climate with an average of 245 sunny days/year.
Salary is negotiable based on experience
