Our client, a highly-rated regional tertiary referral center for complex and comprehensive medical and surgical care for children is seeking a new As! sistant Director of Pharmacy. This teaching hospital has a specialized medical staff comprised of over 250 pediatric specialists in more than 32 medical and 13 surgical specialties and offers high quality care for the treatment of newborns, infants, and children with life threatening illnesses and injuries.

The Assistant Director of Pharmacy reports to the Director of Pharmacy and will oversee all day to day aspects of the pharmacy's operations including:

• Ensuring that the pharmacy provides optimal services with patient safety first
• Overseeing drug storage, drug preparation and dispensing
• Ensuring that legal, accreditation and certification requirements are being met
• Compliance with policies, procedures, codes and standards of the hospital

Requirements include:

• BS or Pharm D degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
• Active license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas (or e! ligible to reciprocate)
• Three to five years experienc! e and/or training
• One to two years in a supervisory position or equivalent training
• Solid skills with pharmacy computer systems
• Clinical pediatric experience required
• Advanced degree (pharmacy or business) desired.
