The Nurse Manager has the ability to articulate a comp! elling, actionable vision for the unit/department. Facilitates teamwork and unit pride by advocating for an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure physician satisfaction. The Manager has the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of patient care within their respective areas. Areas of responsibility will include nursing practice, personnel management, staff development and positive customer relations. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice. Thoroughly understands and monitors financial performance of the unit/department.
Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. Bachelor degree preferred; if ADN, must be enrolled in an accredit! ed nursing program to obtain BSN. If bachelor degree not in nu! rsing applicant must be enrolled in an accredited program to obtain MSN. Advanced certification in field of specialty preferred. A minimum of two years clinical experience in an acute pediatric setting; previous management experience preferred. Current BLS, PALS or NRP certification if functioning in a charge nurse role.
The Southlake Urgent Care Center is open 7 days a week. The Nurse Manager oversees the clinical staff operations of the unit which include the daily patient care delivered by RN, ACT, Unit Sec, RT and Lab Tech and other clinical positions as determined. This position will have some level of responsibility for start-up of the new Mansfield UCC, so candidates need to be open to some travel between locations. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Director.
