Pediatrician @ Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi, TX
Job Sum! mary/ Description of Responsibility
The Pediatrician will ! perform a full range of duties in accordance with the standard professional practice and the established policies and procedures of the department. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling; request
consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated; order diagnostic tests as applicable; prescribe and dispense medications; pediatrician shall serve as Primary Care Manager (PCM) for a panel of patients enrolled to an HMO-style benefit; on call responsibilities will require telephone consultation and will not be required to return to clinic; Pediatrician will not have inpatient responsibilities.
Qualifications/Requirements :
Possess a graduate certification from a medical school approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education ! of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association or possess certification by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical
Graduates (ECFMG).
Successfully complete a residency program which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of
the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs
approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or
other appropriate Canadian medical authority.
Possess a current, valid,
unrestricted license in one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia,
the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Board certification in Pediatrics.
