The Hyperbaric Technician of the Louise Gartner Center of Hyperbaric Medicine, under the general supervision of the Department Director and the direct supervision of the Hyperbaric Technician(s) II (Senior Technicians), assumes responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the compression chamber system and supporting components. He/she accompanies patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen treatments in the chamber delivering care appropriate to his/her level of training and in accordance with standard policies and procedures.The Hyperbaric Technician I is also responsible for performing maintenance activities of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and associated systems and equipment, under the supervision of the Hyperbaric Technician(s) II. In addition, he/she shall report to the Safety Director with respect to safety issues and/or concerns.The Hyperbaric Technician I is responsible for providing services for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency patients of the following ages: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Qualifications
1 year of Hyperbaric and Wound Care experience preferred.
Must have at least one of the following:
Emergency Medical Tech Certification
Diving Medical Tech Certification
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist
